Moldova Adoption

About The Children

Children waiting in Moldova for forever homes range in age from 18 months to 17 years. Baby referrals are not usual and families should be prepared to adopt an older child.

Children with no identified special needs will be older or part of a sibling group.

Children of all ages with an identified special need are also eligible for adoption.

Both married couples and single women may adopt from Moldova.
At least one member of the couple must be under the age of 50, and both parents must be at least 25 years old.
Single women must be over 25 and under the age of 50.

Travel and Time Frame

Adopting from Moldova is a three trip process. The first trip is 30-31 days, the second trip is 5-7 days, and the third trip is 12-14 days.

Time Frame

The time from referral to pickup is approximately 4-7 months.

CHI has worked in Moldova for over 20 years.  The country is a small sending country (meaning low amounts of adoptions happen internationally), but they do have children waiting for adoption.  We have professionals who will help you both in the USA and also Moldova.  Please contact us for a conversation about your adoption.
